Last night was a special night for my husband and I am so proud of him. He had to stand up in front of a bunch of people and recite things. This is not his thing. He has had to work hard at this and put in a lot of time and effort into making sure it was going to be just right. Let say that neither one of us is great at not procrastinating or finishing big projects. We always have great intentions, but sometimes completing them is hard or at least not done in a timely manner. I am so proud of him for stepping out of his comfort zone. Great Job sweetheart.
The second is a bit more funny. Kenzie my beautiful 20 month old daughter likes to eat waffles in the morning for breakfast. She has breakfast at daycare, but she likes to pregame a little. The morning the ritual is pop the waffle in the toaster, get her dressed, then grab the waffle out of the toaster, and give to the kid. She happily says waffle and takes a bite. Well this last trip to Sam's they were out of regular waffles. They only had blueberry waffles. I thought she loves fruit and loves waffles, so can't go wrong. Well was I was wrong. I handed her a waffle yesterday per usual and I don't hear WAFFLE. Instead I hear a loud EWE DIRTY and then the crying. She wouldn't eat the waffle. She thinks that I have gotten dirty or something gross on her precious waffle. I tried to tell her it was blueberry/fruit and yummy. No go. So I did what I could and just set the dirty waffle beside her in hopes she would take a bite and see the waffle is yummy. Well this morning I thought maybe she would be willing to try the new blueberry waffle. Nope not a chance she was going to eat that dirty waffle. What are you trying to feed me mom? Why are you giving me dirty breakfast. I want a clean waffle please. So yes, I got the same EWE DIRTY and the crying. How do you explain to a 20 month old that you would not serve her dirty food and you are sure she would like it if she at least tried it. Well she took that waffle with her on the ride to daycare. She proceeded to take a bite and state EWE, then she threw it at Mike. Yep, she hit him with the waffle from the back seat. I do love this girl and I needed a laugh this morning when my husband called me and told me that he got hit with a waffle.

Let's Get Started
This is my attempt to keep with the goings on of our family. My hope is that my children will be able to look back and have a record of their childhood memories. I suck at baby books and things like that. It has been very obvious as my 20 month old doesn't have a finished one yet. Here I hope to be able to share and turn it in to a book at the end of each year. Hopefully this will be our family books and everyone will be able to take them out and look at them when they need a trip down memory lane. Here goes nothing. Hoping that I can keep this up and see what happens.
